Terms and Conditions
All rented vehicles are subject to Pepa Rent a Car Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement.
PEPA RENT RENTAL C0NDITIONS
1. Preliminary lease conditions
The leasing contract is signed by the client that reserved the car, and not by an unauthorized person. You are required to provide all the necessary information such as a driving license, voucher, valid credit card, passport and payment. Each driver must have a valid driving license at least 2 years old and to be 23 years old.
2. The vehicle
Vehicle conditions you can write before departure, any visible damage to the car that is not marked by us. We do not accept complaints that were not reported at the time of departure. The vehicles of Pepa Rent CAR Albania are not allowed to be driven off the road, on un-asphalted/unpaved roads. In case that the costumer will drive in above mentioned roads the penalty will be 500 EUR VAT incl. Smoking is strictly not allowed in the rented vehicle. In case of smoking in vehicle or in case of dirt of animal hairs, the Renter will change a full cleaning of the car at minimum 150,00 EUR plus VAT. In case of excessive cleaning from dirt the renter will be charged 30 – 150 euro VAT included (Pepa Rent Car will provide photos as proof for this charge).
3. Vehicle usage
You can drive the vehicle outside the territory of The Republic of Albania only with the international driving permit. Cross border fee costs 50 euro per border and is allowed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia. In case the customer drives out of Albania without our permit, there will be an extra charge of 400 euro . Customers who travel abroad undertake the responsibility to resolve itself any difficulties that they may face. In any crashes or incidents that may happens during the drive outside Albania. You should take the responsibility for using the vehicle carefully, and to bring it to Albanian territory in order to have full assistance of the company Pepa Rent Car Albania, which is responsible for 24-hour road assistance only in Albanian territory. In cases of accident in and outside Albania the client should provide to the rental office the POLICE REPORT.
4. LEASE DURATION
4.1 Definitions and calculations. The Lease holder agrees to return the car to company on the date specified in the contract. The leasing contract is divided in to 24 hour period. If you want to keep the car longer than the period specified in the contract, you have to notify us within 48 hours before drop off : Up to 1 hour no fee will be charge, for more than 1 hour delay 100% of the day rent.
4.2 When the customer postpones the rental contract without notifying the company, there is a penalty of 200 euros
4.3 In the case that the customer returns the car after taking it 1-2 hours or a few days ago.The rent car company will not be refunded if the vehicle is returned before the date signed in the contract.
4.4 End of the contract. The contract expires when the client submits the car, the keys and documents to Pepa Rent Car agent. In case of an accident, the contract expires when the client submits the completed police report. Till there this time will be calculated as rental time.
4.5 Lost keys. In the event of loss of keys, documents or plates, fees will be applied, in accordance to the amount communicated by the official car dealership, along with the cost of the delivery and an administrative fee. 5. Payment
The Lease holder must proceed with the payment at the moment of the pick up Car . Payment by Only with Credit card or Debit is an option (Visa, MasterCard) .In case of credit card or Debit payments; Pepa Rent Car is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the card data.

5.1 The deposit
Deposit amount is obligatory and depends on the relevant category of vehicle rented:
CFMR 350 €
EFMR 350 €

1. In case of purchasing S.C.D.W. (full collision damage waiver) with zero excess the deposit will be used only in cases of damages that are not covered by the S.C.D.W. (see the rules in the paragraph 6 “Insurance of Vehicle in the contract agreement)
2. In case of C.D.W. (collision damage waiver) the deposit will be used in case of damage or theft waiver included with an excess of between 500 euro and 625 euro. (see the rules described in the paragraph “the deposit” in the contract agreement.)
3. In case of breaking all the offenses and road violations, and for fines/tickets received for disobeying the traffic rules, within the Albanian territory or abroad. Deposit is used as described in the article bellow: *
4.1/a -for CDW insured customer for damages caused by the client and in of for 20% of total cost of the car.( not more than the amount blocked from your credit card according to the rented car), and in case of breaking the rules of article 7 .If there is no damage, penalties the deposit is returned 100 % 25 days work after drop off the car and after we check the database of the police of the state for possible fines and penalties.
6. Legal obligations, protocols and procedures
6.1. The lease holder is responsible for all the traffic fines received in Albanian territory or abroad. In case of deposits from Credit Cards (checked if they are functional and have monetary value on them), PepaRentCar holds directly the value of the damages, penalties, the interests, administration fees for every penalties and any other liabilities not paid by the client. In case of an accident, after the Police inspection, the lease holder should immediately inform Pepa Rent Car Albania office. 6.2. The renter hereby confirms that in case of damages the value will be assessed according to the Damage Matrix made available to him at the time of the check out or a repair order from a legally registered repair shop.
7. Vehicle Insurance
7.1 The CDW include: covering the total damages over the guaranty deposit (depends from relevant car groups), covering of the (80%).
7.2 The CDW does not include: Crashes, scratches, tire, tire-rims, and glasses, underneath, interior, mirrors, parking damages, fire explosion, lighting, and natural catastrophe, damaged vehicle transfer from the accident place to an authorization service of Pepa Rent Car and everything written in article 7. The S.C.D.W. (super collision damage waiver) insurance is optional and is an extra charge to be paid locally.
7.3 The SCDW includes: Vehicle damage in case of a crash or accident, theft, scratches, mirrors, glasses, parking damages, fire explosion, lighting, and natural catastrophe, loss of the tire caps, damage to the chassis, car horn burning, damaged vehicle transfer from the accident place to an authorization service of PepaRentCar.
7.4 The S.C.D.W does not cover: The damages, tires burnout, steel wheel, Engine damages and oil or gasoline pump damages as a result of bad fuel. Damages on the clutch kit, (manual or automatic). Damage incurred inside the cabin of the vehicle. Loss of the key, loss of the vehicle documents and all the damages caused from the lease holder under effect of alcohol and drugs and every think written inarticle7.
7.5 Theft Protection (TP) Theft Protection is included in the rates. Renter must present the key to the insurance company to qualify for coverage, otherwise the insurance will be invalidated and the renter will be liable for the full amount due to the loss of vehicle In the event of any damage to the vehicle for theft reasons, the insurance does not cover the renter. There is an excess that applies in the event of theft, see Fleet and Insurance
7.6 Full Damage Waiver (FDW) The Full Damage Waiver option reduces the excess amount to zero. Customers are still required to leave a deposit. See Fleet and Insurance A pre-authorized deposit amount may be required on FDW insurance, as deposit for the uninsured parts of the vehicle Full Damage Waiver insurance will be voided if the customer is found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or using the car for transportation of illegal materials.
7.7 Local Taxes 20% Included in the rates Roadside assistance Roadside assistance is included in the rate. Please call the number on your rental agreement if you need assistance. Alternatively, PepaRentCar's central customer service team will be able to offer assistance In case that breakdown assistance is required (the customer cannot turn on the lights, doesn't know how to start the engine, does not know how to use the gear box, battery dead because the customer forgot the lights on etc.) will be considered as a negligence and will be charged 1,20 EUR/km. The car rental company will charge you depending on the car group that you have booked about the driving off road from 150 to 300 EUR
7.8 General Insurance conditions Glasses and mirrors are not covered. Tires and wheels are not covered. Interior damages are not covered if caused by customer’s negligence Damage to tires, tire rims, all glasses, clutch, vehicle interior, flat tires, vehicle underside are not included. Engine damage and oil /gasoline pump damage due to incorrect fuelling are not covered by the insurance. Negligent damage to the clutch kit, (manual or automatic), damages on the gear box etc are not covered by the insurance. Company reserves the right to invalidate the acquired insurance coverage if: Gross negligence on behalf of the customer is determined The customer drives the vehicle off road. The customer is found to be driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other controlled substance. The vehicle is found to have been driven by unauthorized person. If the car's bodywork gets damaged, you’re covered by the Collision Damage Waiver (Terms apply) This means that the most you'll pay towards repairs is the damage excess. (Terms apply)
7.9 US Source rates Not available
FUEL POLICY:
7.10 The vehicle will be provided with fuel and all customers are required to return the car with the same amount of fuel. Failure to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel will attract the following charges See Terms and Conditions - Fuel policy An administration fee will apply. No refund for unused fuel will be due.
COST Per Litre:

7.10/1 Refuelling mistake 500 EUR + 3 days renta
SCDW,does not cover anything mentioned in article 7.3 (The SCDW include) if the client does not provide the police report for not being under the effect of alcohol or drugs for any accident or scratches that happened.
8. The police report is mandatory even if you have insurance included, in case of non-appearance there is no coverage from the insurance made
9 Traffic fines/tickets:
The lease holder pays for the total value of all the tickets/traffic finds received during the rent period and administrative costs for solving penalties caused from these fines. The leaseholder pays 150 Euro + VAT if proved that the customer smoked in the vehicle. The leaseholder pays 150 Euro in case of losing the vehicle key and 50 euro for each day that the car can not be used cause of the key (max. 500 euro). Max 150 euro for tire damages (depend the category car). In case of losing car plates and/or car documents, the leaseholder is obliged to pay 350 euro. The leaseholder pays 200 Euro if you damage or lose the GPS.
10 Out of hours:
Reservations that fall outside the location's stated opening hours are treated as On Request and will attract an additional charge. Out of hours deliveries or collections (20:30 – 08:30) will apply with an extra charge of 30 euros:
11 Safety and security:
In order to protect our customers and to protect our company, the vehicle that you have rented has a GPS TRACKING system. Vehicle tracking The renter acknowledges that the vehicle has active GPS security which can track and record the movement of the car.
12. Cancelation and Refund
What is your cancelation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?
1. The Renter can cancel the booking up to 48 hours before the initial pick-up time, through the My Booking section of the website or in Account, of the website, if user is registered.
2. No refund will be provided if a cancelation is requested after the initially scheduled pick-up time.
3. Reservations made within 48 hours of the pick-up time are non-refundable.
4. Please note that some of the deeply discounted prepaid deals are subject to their own terms and conditions, and such bookings cannot be canceled or changed.
5. Please be aware that if you cancel your insurance policy less than 24 hours before the start of your car hire agreement, no refund for insurance will be granted.
13. No Show
1. If the client does not arrive within 2 hours after the confirmed pick-up time and does not inform Pepa Rent Car Albania by phone of any delay, Pepa Rent Car reserves the right to classify the reservation as a no-show and may not provide a vehicle to the customer in the event they will arrive at the location after the 2 hours grace period. There may be an exception made for bookings with flight details provided in advance.
13.1 What is a no-show?
A 'no-show' occurs for the following reasons
1- You didn't inform us about your cancelation prior to your pick-up time.
2- You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.
3 -You failed to provide the documentation that's required to pick up the car.
4-You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver's name with enough available funds on it.
5-When the customer is delayed more than 2 hours from receiving the car after the reservation, he is not served and cannot be reimbursed for the part he paid online. In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you. The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car's security deposit. In such a case, unless the car hire has been canceled at least 24 hours in advance, you will not be entitled to a refund.
14. Transporting animals

15.Working hours
The working time is from 08:00-20:30.
Out-of-hours service is available upon request and with an additional payment of 30 euros. To have an after-hours service, the tenant must provide the following information: phone number, flight number. The period of time, during regular business hours, when the car is still guaranteed to the customer, if the customer is late to pick it up (grace period) is 0 minutes.

16. Vehicle Group/Model
We are unable to guarantee a particular make, model or fuel type of car. The car shown on your voucher is for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative, similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost) at our option. If, at the time of pickup, it becomes impossible to provide your booked car as shown on your rental voucher due to breakdown or an accident, a similar or upgraded car will be given
17. General information
Your contract for the reservation and rental of a vehicle is made with the Pepa Rent Car in Albania named on your reservation confirmation email (if you have booked in advance) and the rental agreement that you will sign when you pickup the vehicle. It is formed of your reservation confirmation email (if you have booked in advance), the rental agreement and these terms and conditions. By providing us with your email address, you agree to be provided with a copy of these terms and conditions and the rental agreement electronically using that email address. When we refer to “vehicle”, this is the vehicle that you have agreed to rent as set out in your rental agreement (including its keys and all parts and any accessories present within the vehicle at the commencement of your hire) All references to “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms and conditions are to Pepa Rent a Car in Albania from which you hire the vehicle. All references to “you” and “your” in these terms and conditions are to the person named on the rental agreement who has been approved by us to use the vehicle and who is designated to receive and pay all fees, charges and other costs associated with the rental of the vehicle as indicated in the reservation confirmation email (if this applies), the rental agreement and these terms and conditions.
18. The customer is obliged to provide the police report for any kind of damage or accidents otherwise he/she will be liable for the full amount of damage.
NOTE: After being advised about the 18(ten) rules, terms and conditions of this contract, I find them reasonable and accept them.
